Caddo County Sec 18-10N-10W

I have leased Sec18-10N-10W to CRI with in the last month. I went to OCC website and looked up the tract in their data base. If I looked at it correctly, there is no well of any type in that section. In a section just west of it there is a well that shows is capped. So has there been seismic activity that shows good prospects for a deep well in this area? I assume CRI isn’t going to sit on it and do nothing, that’s not their norm.

Can anyone tell me if Operator Number #10146 is CRI’s number?

Continental, Petroven and Rose Bud Resources have leased in that section. Mach Natural Resources, Duncan Oil Properties already have permits nearby for horizontal wells. Sit back and wait for developments.

Thanks Ms Barnes. I’m still learning all of this to better educate myself in O&G leases. So, is Sec 18-10N-10W in the Anadarko basin and if so is it in the SCOOP region of the basin? Also on 5-8-26, Mach Natural confirmed it paused some of its deep Anadarko Basin drilling activity and redirected efforts to oil-weighted projects in the Mid-Continent, including a directed effort in Kingfisher County. Not sure what that means for my section, any thoughts?

Yes, 18-10N-10W is part of the Anadarko Basin which is huge.

Your area is just on the western side of the SCOOP.

Various operators are still permitting horizontal wells in the townships nearby. Validus and Mach have rigs in the township to the north. Continental has a rig in the township to the south. Duncan and Thunderbird have OCC cases in the township to the west. Time will tell…

Thanks Ms Barnes, I was just contacted by Table Rock Energy wanting to know if I was interested in selling my minerals in Caddo and McClain Counties. It’s apparent a lot of people know more about what’s going on with my tracts than I do. Have you or anyone you know had any dealings with Table Rock? It would have to be a really Big offer for me to consider selling, but I told them to do their research and let me know what their offer is. My next questions is, wouldn’t any company buying mineral rights stand to make 4-5 times what they offer? Sorry to keep pestering you.
