Me and my cousins have inherited mineral rights from our parents in Cleveland County. These have been in our family for generations. My cousin wishes to sell me her rights. I would love to do this without a lawyer. Has anyone done this? Assuming I need a mineral deed, signed and notarized, and then I file with the county.
It would be wise to get an attorney to help with the wording. The tiniest mistake in punctuation or wording may negate your intentions and muddy the title.
