Bull Run is known to be fronting for EOG. So far, they have leased about 49,000 gross acres in Leon and Madison Counties (31,000 in Madison and 18,000 in Leon), plus a small amount in Robertson County where they drilled a well.
Bull Run has drilled and completed two wells, the Augustus Unit 1H in Madison County, and the Hadrian Unit 1H in Robertson County. According to the Comptrollers’ Office CONG system, the Augustus well produced 22,228 BO in May, and the Hadrian well produced 4,182 BO. No info on date of first production. No gas production was reported. It is likely that gas is being flared.
It is likely that EOG intends to acquired additional acreage, probably HBP, from one or more operators who have drilled wells in the area between the two wells. Wildfire has a lot of wells in that area, so they are a likely target. However, it was just announced that Magnolia O&G is going to acquire Wildfire, so that could complicate things.
I was informed that the target zone appears to be Eagle Ford or Eaglebine.
