I have some minerals in sec 4, 7S, 9E of Bryan County OK. And a company wanting to lease. Does anyone have any information on current rates for this area?
What are they offering? Any money better than no money, go for a 3 year lease with a 3/16 th !
Current rates are not public unless someone on the forum posts their offers.
I always ask for what they are offering at 1/5th and 1/4, Some areas do not warrant that high a royalty, but never hurts to ask.
If you have not leased in a while, it would be a good idea to get a good oil and gas attorney to review any draft lease as they are not usually in the mineral owner’s favor and will need some important edits.
