Broken contracts

I need help to find an early posting with links to court cases between oil producers and mineral right owners with leases.

Kent, that is not a lot to go on. Was it your post? Someone else specifically? You should find your posts on your home page. For someone else’s posts, on their home page or type their name in the search function at top right. If random person’s posts, search function at top right. Of course people can delete posts also so if you see something you may need later, it might be wise to print it out.

Thanks Mr. Kennedy for responding! You’re right, I did not give good information. Let me try this again. I believe the lawsuits were in Montague County, Texas. The lawsuit was between mineral right owners and oil companies. The suit was due to the oil company not completing their part of the contract. Also, the land per acre was small, sometimes less than an acre. The lease was from $8,000 to $25,000 per acre. Now why the oil company chose to not fulfill the lease, I don’t know. It seems cheaper to complete the lease, rather than paying a large part of the lease, then stopping process. I did not save this information. Now I am looking to locate the information. I’ve tried to go through the court records, but I’m not able to review old cases. There is some education on the resources that I need.

I have been following blogs on this website for many months and thought the information would be there when I needed it. My mistake! So if someone is knowledgeable of any of the cases or have suggestions on how to find what I’m looking for, let me thank you in advance! Kent
