We have recently been approached to lease mineral rights in Morgan county Colorado for extracting precious metals from brine deposits. Has anyone else been approached? The land man is only offering $50 per acre bonus which seems very low. They already know the depth they are going to go and they seem certain there is brine to be extracted. This seems to be a very complex issue as there are many minerals in the brine which may or may not be extracted for use. However, once the brine has been removed it no longer becomes part of our minerals and we would lose any further chance of obtaining royalties for minerals not extracted from the brine. so I am concerned about royalties. I would like to speak with others who may have faced this issue in the past.
