I see there were problems before on this topic and was not resolved back in 2021. Trying to find how to contact Briar Oil and Gas. Their phones do not work, no one every replies to the one voicemail. They do not reply to the contact email on their website. ShaleEX and other avenues have not helped. They keep sending royalty checks to the wrong person since the property changed hands in the family AND were filed with the said counties. What now?
The check stub should have an address. Send a certified letter return address to request the correction. The Secretary of State should have Briar’s correct address if you do not have access to the check stub.
If the “wrong person” is cashing the checks, that is another issue. Hopefully they are not.
I will check with the Secretary of State. Everything I have found shows that it is possible that they have closed. I will send the letter. I forgot about certified letters.
