Anyone know if there is activity around Bracken Grandchildren #3 in Smith County, Texas? I am getting offers to buy - my royalties have just been limping along so I’m wondering why there is recent interest. Thanks.
I moved your question to the Smith County topic area.
Please give the block name/number, abstract name and number and the section. It makes it so much easier to look up on the TX RRC GIS maps. I think I have found it using another source. Looks like Valence Operating has just filed for three permits for horizontal wells Melodye 1H, Luscombe B (Alloc) 9H and McCrary 1H. Two of them go right past the Grandfather #3 well. All three have spud, so just sit back and wait.
Thanks so much!
The Valence Bracken Grandchildren well is about 1-1/2 miles south of a horizontal Valence well that was drilled just south of Loop 49 due south of Tyler and, according to local reports, was junked after multiple months of drilling/fishing operations. How reliable are the reports of the three additional Valence wells having been spud?
Accurate but out of date.
Luscombe B Alloc was spud 3/15 and drilled a 3500’ lateral in the Travis Peak. No completion reports yet.
Melodye 1H was drilling in March as a 11,600’ Hz in the Goodland Llime. No completion reports yet.
The McCrary 1H is the lateral that was Junked & Abandoned after drilling Hz wellbore but losing that hole. Presently plugged back into the vertical part of the wellbore - possible consideration to re-enter and use this wellbore for another lateral.
All this info from ENVERUS / who gets their info from the Tx RRC
I’m unfamiliar with the format here. I’m curious about the well ssw of Palestine that was permitted as a deep Bossier/Haynesville horizontal test. Is there any reliable news about it?
WELCOME to the forum. Please post your question about the well in the correct county. This is the Smith County topic area. That keeps the threads on the forum more logical.
Please add the block name and number, the abstract name and number and the section if you know them. A well SSW of Palestine is not very unique. Palestine is in Anderson County.
That’s really not very practical. I’ve seen other posts about this same well. I don’t have this much information and see lots of other posts without the details you are describing.
Do you have a well name? I did find a well, but want to make sure it is the correct one. Then will move the thread over to Anderson.
We are trying to encourage folks to give as much information as they have so that the threads are useful from the first post (hence the request for block, abstract and section or section, township and range). There are many wells SW of Palestine, so it you say it is a new well and how many miles away from Palestine, close to XXX road, that is more helpful as we can narrow down the search on the maps.
Moved your question and the answer over to Anderson County. Hope that was the well you were asking about.
Go to Anderson County for the Palestine well. People are commenting.
