Received offer of $2,600 per net mineral acre. I have less than one net mineral acre. Is this a fair going price for the area?

You should be able to get more than that. They are leasing out in that county for $2K to $3K. I think $4K to $5K per net mineral acre would be a fair price.

I have been offered 2K/acre lease from Plains Natural Resources. What have you found out? Please tell me who offered you $2,600 - I’d really appreciate it.

DO NOT SIGN THAT PAPERWORK! That is not a mineral lease but a ROYALTY LEASE! There is an article in the top discussion topics concerning this.

Thanks Chris. We didn’t sign that royalty lease. Sounds like illegal business activity to me. Fortunately I was paying attention when I read it. How many people weren’t!!?
