Has anyone ever worked with Bird Hunters LLC (Oil/Gas Dev). I received a lease offer from them for minerals in Roger Mills County, 1-16n-21w. It is becoming a theme where they say the operator is anonymous, which I always worry about. Has anyone heard of who’s leasing in that area, or an active operator in that area of Roger Mills.

They are probably an agent for someone else. The other groups leasing in the area are RD Williams & Co, Upand Exploration, Aunix Energy and Anadarko. Leasing is not yet heavy, so you might get offers from others. Most likely leasing for the Cherokee shale horizontal play.

Yes we should. Did they tell you who the operator is they are acquiring minerals for.
Most operators instruct the companies they hire to lease for them not to disclose the info or they will be let go/fired. Unless you have a large chunk of acreage, we have little power in negotiations. Theres nothing like waiting it out only to find out 1/3 of your minerals will be drilled due to allocation values, its like playing craps/roulette, just gotta get lucky with inherited minerals
