I would contact the drilling company if they have started drilling or the last company your lease is with. Most company websites have a royalty information tab with contact information. If you have a landman for your area this may also be helpful.

How do we find name of "Landman" in our area? or drilling company?

Nick, Do you have your current lease information? If so, you should have contact information on it. i would start with them. Most leases are owned by brokerage companies who will sell your rights for profit to the drilling company. Once you have found this company you can contact them at their website. If a construction has begun on your property i would recommend being very proactive as there is a lot to learn and follow up on. Your biggest concern is to have all your records in order and updated with whomever holds your current lease. if you do not have all info updated it can delay payment and also reduce your totals in some cases.

Our landman was given to us by the drilling company after the permit was established. But getting info in my area which is in North Dakota is like pulling teeth right now. They are extremely busy. i am sure Texas has a much better knowledge base since they have been pulling oil for years.

North Dakota has a public website for oil well operations. It contains maps and other information about drilling companies. I would believe Texas has the same, but have not checked.
