141N 103W has 2 new roads with looks like sites for something exciting!!!
Zeb; The courthouse does NOT say what the BONUS is just like it does not say what land is SOLD FOR!! My attorney has been around that a couple of times and even the IRS can not get that information!!
I don’t think Newt will make it past the first 3 primaries; all this will be brought up and Romney will eventually persevere!
Document #97136 does exist with 15% Royalty, for a man with a similar name from Duluth MN. Coincidentally, your forum profile post shows you’re from Duluth MN.
There is NO document for T141-R105-S25 NW4 that is current within past 5 years recorded in Golden Valley County that has 1/6 Royalty. Perhaps you should double check with Whiting to see if they failed to record it. As for your claim to have 1/6 Aerosmith Steven Tyler sings Dream On…Dream On…
I find most people prefer honesty to deception in most of life; so if your label of nitpicking is necessary, I will continue.
Nobody cares if you have 15% or 1/6 besides Whiting and you, just keep it real. If you seriously have a document showing 1/6 with Whiting Oil, you DO need to call them and ask why it’s not recorded. You can call the courthouse to verify if they have whatever # your document is. That will confirm if Whiting recorded it or not.
If your lease doesn’t have a recorded document # on it, as well as a recording date, then you do not have a recorded document. Every single lease I have shows a recording document #.
Zeb, the problem with our leases is that in the 1280 there are people with 5 acres; and in all 48 states and many blind trusts…etc. It is very hard to communicate with all of our leaseholders but we have a small group that use the same consultant and control about 400 acres at least..!!
To those that may want to get a deeper understanding of the demand for oil … in such products as McDonald’s shakes, batteries, toothpaste, all plastics, roofs, blacktop roads, tires, PVC, and gas. I would recommend the following videos available on Netflix, Blockbuster, PBS Boomtown, Crude, Black Gold, Fuel, A Crude Awakening-The Oil Crash, Gashole. The Boomtown is about the oil in ND which can be found on YouTube or CNN Money it’s about the new boom in Williston and Stanley.
Ab & Zeb,
I think this forum is to share information for the better of all. Not to prove or disprove anything or anybody. It’s an honor system in which anyone can choose to use the information or not. So if you wish to disregard a comment please do so as your own personal preference. If nothing else just agree to disagree and be kind!
I don’t have anything to prove only defending myself granted I should not have to do that… noted.. right AB?
Joel,
I am only now beginning to scratch the surface of the tax laws that we as mineral rights owners are facing. From what I have discovered so far your assessment of our tax situation is bang on, we are actually considering a change in residence however re-registering our LLC is not an option. Do you feel that the difference between a 20 and a 23 percent royalty would NOT offset the various tax bills?
Scratch “loan” add royalty…
What is MN Tax ?
That has been in the works for some time now. The problem is we need more and closer refineries. Most oil gets shipped out of state to refine, which is an added cost.
It is knowing how to reduce your tax burden by structure and/or investments. The financial planners in Bismarck are working overtime all the time. We heard from some friends in Minot that many of the farmers are S corporations and they are paying less in taxes on the oil.
Well, she was doing a lot of networking out here! And she was VERY helpful to us. We felt almost guilty; we should have paid her for her time and knowledge. So she had her cards on the table for us. Thank God! We would have most likely signed last fall. She knew that people were developing a website that was interactive with sections and names with amounts of leases put into areas. I guess if they get a site up it will get you the current and past market value for each section including royalty, bonus, and term.
Well, the bonus is not earned income, right? So it is ordinary income which is taxed less?
The North Dakota banks are great! All the new money the boom has put into the economy has been a godsend!
I was told there is a gravel pit in Section 33, Township 141N, Range 103W. Is that in the east or west part of the section?
Anybody interested in Section 33 or 34, Township 141N, Range 103W?
Yes I have long finished my night cap! So good night!
Have you been to the land?
