Was involved with Sommerset and negotiating a lease agreement with them for a mineral lease in Atoka County before the big crash in 2008. Needless to say, Sommerset backed out and we saw an offer of $4400.00 an acre plummet to perhaps $100.00 per acre. It has been 3 years now and I am wondering what the status of mineral leases in the area are currently, if any at all. We have 20 NMA in Atoka County located at 10/3s/10e and have not been contacted by any new interests. If anyone has information, I would certainly appreciate it. Thank you, Will

I don't see any leasing activity since 2009. There has been a few sales in the last couple of years. I could only find 1 group of school properties leased in 2011. About a year ago, in the 1N-14E for $152 an acre. Too far to matter.
