I’ve recently received an offer worth in the mail for my family’s royalty interests in a gas unit in Harrison County, TX. The offer is worth ~$100k for my 0.75% share of a gas unit on almost 700 acres operated by BPX.
I know very little about this business, and I would greatly appreciate any help determining the value of my family’s royalty interest and any general advice for going through this process. Thank you!
It would be helpful to me to know what area (e.g.-survey name) that your family’s royalty interests are in, in Harrison County. I have seen some offers that do not quite appear to make economic sense (unless there is definitely a new find or at least some highly prospective drilling, in that area).
