Ascent Midstream Partners question.

I had a lease with Prime Operating.
Well, I got a check from Ascent Midstream Partners, LLP for the same property. When asked about this, I got the following response:

“We are an oil purchasing company. We purchase oil from Heritage Petroleum Inc. I don’t know who Prime Operating is.”

Is there something I am missing?

Prime Operating may be the operator. You can get paid by the operator or directly by the puchasing company for either oil or gas or both.
