Are wells refracked anymore?

Continental is the operator for my Ward County interest. One well drilled six years ago and two others three years ago. Obviously, production has declined and I’m wondering if wells are refracked anymore?

It depends upon the original frac spacing and the economics. I was just at the SUPERDUG conference in Ft. Worth and there was quite a bit of discussion about fracking older horizontal wells with newer techniques if they fit the criteria for the operator.

Thanks for the follow up!

There are at least two Ward counties, so if you post a question in the proper state and county with location, then folks may keep an ear open for re-frac news.

Thanks again for pointing this out. My interests are in Ward County, Texas, located about 5 files south of Pyote.

We’ve suddenly had offers on Johnson County wells that have not been producing for years. I wonder if this is the reason. Thank you always for your valuable information!

That, or there is pending drilling that “someone thinks they know about”.
