Are they legitimate?

My family owns several parcels of mineral interests in eastern Oklahoma County, Sections 21, 22 and 27, T13N, R1W, I.M. We recently received an offer to lease the majority of our interests. I cannot find any other current activity in the area. Can anyone confirm the legitimacy of United Land Company, Edmond, OK, and advise on continuing the negotiations with regard to bonus and royalty interest percentage?

they are legit

quite legit.

They leased tons of acres in Custer county and I didn’t hear any complaints. You still have to do your homework and make sure you get the terms you need. They are leasing for someone else and it’s their job to get it on terms favorable to their client.

Thank you!

Looks like horizontal drilling may be coming that way. Vaquero has two rigs to the south in 12N-1W & 2W. MWC is also leasing in the area, so you may have more than one offer. No leases have been filed in your section yet. Very early in the process. DO NOT lease separate sections on the same lease. United Land is quite legitimate. Ask them who they are leasing for and see if they will tell you. You can hold off a bit and see who else offers and see what the pooling orders to the south give as royalty/bonus pairs. That will give a hint for your area. The case for 2026-002689 is pending for Oct 16, so that should be helpful. Vaquero spud the wells before they pooled which needed an emergency order. Most of the leases in 12N were at 3/16ths. You can either lease or wait for pooling. The draft lease for the agent working for the operator will not likely be in the mineral owner’s favor. Competing agents often give better clauses. Its all about the clauses and whether they help you or cause you to lose more royalties.

Thank you for this information! This is very helpful. I appreciate your in-depth analysis.
