I am seeing an increase in activity in Ward County but the rights we own look to be sandwiched between older wells. It’s A-1206, Section 24, BLK 5, H&TC Survey. Are there geologic constraints that make this area less attractive than other areas of the county?
Lots of geologic constraints in this part of the Central Basin Platform. This is area of old, shallow and now very marginal production.
Map below focuses on Section 24 - wells are obvious. Non drilled areas are felt to be non-prospective due to the results of historical drilling.
