We have 180 acres of mineral rights we own or so between Hockley & Terry County TX.. we have not leased since 2011 but on certain sites I see lots of leases happening in both counties. . How would we know if they possibly are on the land that we own mineral rights on? Does shady stuff like this happen without owners ever knowing? Just curious to any advice you can give. Amy
No I own in both counties. There are spots where 0 is going on

We can help with more precision if you give the county, block name or number, Abstract name and number and section. Sometimes wells are permitted offsite from the lease and drilled under it, so need the location to hunt for wells nearby.

160 acres of land more or less being the north east corner of section 80, block 4-x. It’s a mineral deed from 1947 from my great grandparents It’s recorded in volume 96 page 55 in Terry County Texas.

Do have the abstract name and number? I can find 4X, and I found several section 80s. Does N. Sanders abstract !-1075 show up in the volume paragraph? No wells are in that set of acreage.
Hi! Thank you for trying to help me a couple of months ago. I’m sorry I’m just responding. You seem very knowledgeable in this area and thank you for showing me a map. If I’m looking at it correctly, I think we own rights to the right of the square that you highlighted. I am seeing section 80 block 4 – X.E.L & R.R.RY company survey Terry County being more particularly described on that property conveyed from RR White( Raleigh R White) Scott & White Hospital is my great grandfather. It was dated from 1947 and there are roughly 80 acres. We leased all of this back in 2011 but just haven’t heard anything. Any help or any information that you have? I would greatly appreciate it. I live in Arizona and I often wonder about different areas that we have mineral rights. Thank you so much. Amy
