Hello, I have unleased mineral rights on a 40 acre drill unit in Utah. The property has a producing well on it and has been producing for 19 months. I did not know about this until last March. I got a 1/6th lease offer which I declined. I called Newfield's owner relations office and asked for division orders in June and was told to prove ownership which I did. I never heard a word. In September I called a Newfield division order analyst and asked again for them. I was told I needed to talk with their landman and he promised to send an AFE. This took longer than he said but they sent an AFE calculated on a 640 acre well space and I suppose the party continues. I am inclined to do nothing and be force pooled as I do not feel comfortable dealing with such a flakey company. Any thoughts? Thanks, Rod
Rod,
If it is a hot area, no oil company wants you to participate.
