Hello, I am new to this forum and am trying to help my mother. She has mineral rights on property in Shelby county, Texas. I’m trying to keep abreast of activity there and was wondering if there is currently any active Lithium exploration occuring near there. Any info would be much appreciated! Thank you!

In general, lithium may come out of produced water so is likely going to belong to the surface owner or the operator, not the mineral owner. The laws vary by state. You can see maps of the Smackover horizon using a search engine. That tends to be the horizon that they are interested in at this time in Arkansas and Texas.
