Anyone getting leases of $10,000.00 per NMA?

I thought I saw a post but am not able to locate it.

That is very rare and very location specific. Most likely was a sale offer and not a lease offer.

Right! I thought that was high.

I believe I saw that number of $10,000/NMA for nonparticipating lease in Leon County. (Western Haynesville).

I was pretty sure that I had seen that. That is amazing.

There were areas in the Barnett Shale when it was hot that LEASED for $13,000/NMA. Wish we could see that again!

OK thanks. I look forward to it.

How long ago was that?

Good evening, what is an NMA?

Net Mineral Acre. Most interests in minerals are undivided amongst family members. The net mineral acre would constitute a single person’s interest if it were divided.

Net Mineral Acre: example. Grandpa had 40 gross acres. When he died, he left his acreage to his four children at 25% each undivided. That means they each got 10 net mineral acres of the whole 40 acres, but not a specific geographic part. If the deed or probate said “divided”, then is usually for a very specific geographic location such as the homestead cabin and the garden. Those are pretty rare.
