I own some land and mineral rights for a plot about 2.2 miles east of Naples, Texas, just barely inside the west edge of Cass County. I am not aware of any activity in that area and was wondering if anyone else is. I know many years ago the land was always leased but suspect maybe the oil is not easy enough to get to be worth messing with. Thanks for any thoughts on the matter.
The Railroad Commission GIS Mapping System shows no production or activity in the area you are asking about in Cass County. Further to the East there is some scattered production. Numerous producing wells are in the Southeastern part of Cass County bordering Marion County.
