Anyone aware of leaving activity in Section 2 9N 10W?
Quite a bit of leasing in 2-9N-9W in early to mid 2018. Mostly by Continental Resources and TPR MidCon LLC. TPR has filed for a horizontal well back in July. Cases still pending. You should have gotten the three-four mailings. Pooling hearing was supposed to be Oct 2, 2018. If you are HBP or leased, you will not get the pooling notice.
Dumb Question:…My lease with (Turner Oil/Continental Resources will expire at the end of the month. As long as the case for horizontal well is pending will I not be able to get a new lease?
No question is dumb. Check your lease language to see what they say commencement of well means. Mine says that they have to have a drilling rig onsite and drilling. In that case, the lease would expire if no well was spud. Some leases say that they have to have other things done that mean commencement, such as permitting, or moving dirt around on the site. Depending upon that wording, you may or may not be held.
