Any activity

I have mineral rights in section 4 township 9 range 61w 6thPM. Does anyone know if there is any activity in this section of Weld County. Thank you for any info--Ron

Ron, search the Oil and Gas Leasing Help Group if you haven’t already. There is a discussion there that will interest you. Just click the header. I’d bump it to the top for you, but I have nothing to contribute to it at this time and it wouldn’t be fair to bump it up and another discussion would leave the front page. RWK

Ron, I agree with RW Kennedy, but for starters I think this is a really bad offer. I’m in Morgan County, which is not as hot as most, if not all, of Weld and I’ve been offered 10 times that. Aside from the premium, 5 years is bad, too. You should get at the very least 3 and 2. Check this site for others in Weld. I think there are many. And check the maps of other wells. Best of luck.

When you say you’ve been offered 10 times that, are you saying you have been offered 5000 bonus?

PLEASE FOLKS!! I understand the excitement of your possible windfall of "found money" and I realize all the freedoms and possibilities that may be provided to you by these, but before you make YOUR decision please watch the documentary "Gas Land"..…

Thank You

Steve,

Quit drinking the kool-aid and stop trying to sell it here. Gasland is a load of BS and if you believe that crap you might as well assume Oliver Stone is a historian and not a film maker. The facts in Gasland have been completely refuted by several government organizations. See here for the response from the COGCC:

If you want to sell that hippie propaganda, I suggest you grab your banjo and hop in a VW bus en route to San Fran. The people here are hard working Americans that want to see their energy produced, purchased and used from and in the USA. Isn't that better than giving it to the America hating countries to the east?

If anyone is concerned about their water, add a water well testing provision to your lease. If you don't trust the operator, call the COGCC. They will test it for you for free. Yes...free!

In closing, I would like to say God bless the USA which is the ONLY country in the world that minerals can be owned by private everyday Joes like you and me. That's a fact.

sure, add the water testing and if you find out that your,, and possibly your neighbors water has been ruined, well, then it's to late..... I personally thought Gas Land was a very well done documentary, and I am sure that those cases of peoples lives being ruined either from sickness, water issues, air quality are few and far between, but IMO,, one case is too many, so I say get rid of the Halliburton loop hole, expose to everyone the exact content in that fracking juice, regulate the process and protect the people, wildlife and land around these wells. I respect your land owners rights and we need alternative sources of energy and our tremendous wealth of natural gas is great, but let's do this right, profits are great but not at the expense of people, wildlife and the environment......... so while I am on my way to San Francisco in my VW micro bus, picking my banjo, sipping on my kool-aid and selling my hippie propaganda BS I hope that I can stop by the road in your beautiful state and take a deep breath of clean air and have a cool drink of clean water....

Thanks again

This is directed towards STEVE and his comments. A few questions
.
(1.) Do you own any land?

(2.) Do you own any minerals?

(3.) Have you spoken to any one that does own minerals and has a "Water Problem"?

(4.) Have you spoken with anyone that owns minerals and is having problems of any kind?

(5.) Have you ever been closer than two miles from a drilling rig? While on a High Way or Road.

(6.) Just for starters have you or anybody ever seen a well hand wearing a gas mask while working on

the floor of a rig, let alone standing a mile and a half away? Give me a break!

It's a matter of opinion as to the quality of the production your so proud of. When it's crap that is being

passed off as fact, it leaves a lot to be desired as to "quality". Do some research!!

500?..10x that?..are you talking $ per net mineral acre or total bonus and if it is total bonus, how many net acres is being leased?..

oh yes!!! I own, as do you,,, millions of acres of land, BLM, National Forest and so on, other than that I believe we should all be caretakers of this planet and the environment, I never said that everything on the film was absolute but it certainly brings up topics worth talking about and as history proves when large amounts of money are involved sometimes little lies are told that soon turn into big lies and big problems and also with the history of corporate purchased deregulation at the expense of the environment, (mine and yours) that great care should be taken... I am all in when it comes to you having the right to sell your minerals, but if it has a negative impact on everyone else then thats when it becomes a problem... I would just ask that everyone having the opportunity to please be careful and look closely at the long term results rather than the immediate check in the mail box... sure lets do this and reduce our dependency on foreign oil and the coal, thats great, but lets do it right!!

thanks
