Has anyone heard of any activity in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma involving Trinity Operating, LLC or Santa Fe (formerly XTO) ? I couldn’t find any info on OCC site. Specially for the sections listed below:
There is multiple wells in Pittsburg County located in Township 7 North Range 16 East and several more townships and ranges. Some of the operators are Trinity Operating USG LLC, Abundance Energy LLC, Calyx, Merit Energy LLC, ext..
S3 T5N R12E-multiple horizontal wells. Look for the surface location in sec 15. Goes with 10
etc. etc. Always look about two sections to the north or south as the surface locations are not always in the section. Have you tried using the free version of welldatabase.com? Lot easier to see the horizontals on it.
Welcome to the oil and gas world! If you just inherited, then you can start with the Mineral Help tab above to get get oriented. Hopefully you inherited some files. If not, then you will need to start with the list of what you inherited and then contact every operator on those sections and ask how to get into pay. Ask lots of questions! The National Association of Royalty Owners (www.naro-us.org) is the group I joined many years ago. They have classes, webinars, conventions and excellent networking with experts in the business. Get familiar with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission website. You will need to know how to use it.
Thank you! I didn’t get much information except the legal I posted. I need to find out any and all of the oil and gas operators. I only knew of two and you mentioned one more. I will go to those sites on OCC’s website and see if I can find anymore.
Make sure that any purchases or probates are filed in the county courthouse where the minerals are located. The pooling notices are sent out to those who are not leased. The county courthouse (among other sources) is where they go for names and addresses and title information.
The mineral deed was filed in the same County where the wells are located in. Thank you for the suggestion. I think I have other operators I have to call after looking at the Well Data finder on OCC website.
