Greetings. Wondering if there is any administrative activity that would have spawned a sudden interest to purchase minerals in NW/4 36-15N-12W? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
New permits for infill drilling in sections 30/31 immediately to the east would be my guess. Devon owns 36 anf Marathon is the operator in 30/31, but any new increased density drilling close by usually invites offers.

Thanks Martha, an offer came out of the blue. Either the offerer has insider/non-public information or is just speculating.

Pretty sure it is because of the well next door. I would suspect some buyers have an algorithm set up to watch for permits or increased density then send out offers.
