I own minerals in Section 13, Section 14, and Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 18 West, Custer County, Oklahoma. I know Anthem Arapaho has the current Des Moines spacing case for Sections 15 & 22, but has anyone heard of plans, leasing, spacing, or drilling for Sections 13 or 14? I have received numerous purchase offers covering all of my minerals (not just Section 22), so I’m wondering if there is additional development planned for Sections 13 and 14 that isn’t yet reflected in the OCC filings, especially given the nearby Gardner wells that are doing well. Thanks!
At the moment I do not see any cases for 13 or 14, but the rest of the township has quite a few cases. There are already vertical gas wells in 13 & 14 by Expand and Diversified, so Anthem may not be interested or may be partners already in those.
Those wells are old and shallow to my recollection. But a new driller would have to buy out those leases or partner with the older leaseholders, yes?
The wells are old, but the ones in 13 & 14 were already completed in the Cherokee at about 12,400’. The Cherokee is the intended reservoir for the new horizontal wells in the township. They may have already depleted the pressure in 13 & 14 so not as likely to have new horizontal wells.
Anthem dismissed the drilling and spacing unit case on Sections 15 and 22. We have no idea why.
They may not have the budget to drill it, geology may be a factor or any other number of things.
There may be a little more activity behind the scenes than is apparent from the current OCC cases. Anthem has been actively assembling interests in T13N-R18W during 2026 through Anthem Washita LLC. County records show acquisitions/assignments involving multiple parties, including Continental Resources, FX Anadarko Holdings, PetroVen and others, covering various sections in the township. Anthem Washita has also been active in OCC proceedings elsewhere in T13N-R18W.
That does not establish that Sections 13 or 14 are scheduled for drilling, and I haven’t seen an OCC filing that says they are. But the broader land and regulatory activity does show that Anthem is actively assembling interests in T13N-R18W, so I wouldn’t assume the dismissal of the 15/22 case means Anthem has lost interest in the area.
I’d be interested if anyone has seen additional Anthem Washita filings or knows how the Washita acquisitions relate to Anthem Arapaho’s activity in the area.
There was a protest on 15/22 and they dismissed the case prior to hearing. I haven’t heard about other acquisitions yet.

I’m extremely glad to hear that from a local.
I knew that the PUN went active on August 5th, but all of my stalking has been via OCC Images Docs, ECF filings, and Sentinel 2 imagery which I had to have AI interpret for me. All due to long distance from OK.
Thanks for the heads up. Now waiting for the final allocation hearing on September 15 then maybe the Division Orders.
Sorry. Anthem built a pad in the NE corner of section 11 14N 17W. On that pad is going to be Stone Cold and Hulkster. Stone Cold was spud on 6/19 and Hulkster on 7/1. Both of these wells have separate sections to drain a ~10,000-foot lateral targeting the Des Moines formation. Anthem Energy/Anthem Arapaho LLC contracted the Kenai 19 rig to drill both laterals. Anthem also has contracted the Kenai 19 to begin drilling at another site in mid September. Therefore, I have to assume that the Stone Cold/Hulkster pad is close to drilling completion. Then, of course comes frack crew. Possible production in December timeframe? Maybe.
