Just signed a 5y | $700 p/nma | 20% lease contract for our family’s MR’s in Campbell County.
We also hired a Sheridan, WY attorney to negotiate the boilerplate lease T&Cs. I just loathe paying attorneys but I believe we crafted and edited lease language to protect some of our MR interests…too voluminous to add here. I will say this…there is ZERO POSSIBILITY for a No Cost Production provision. We tried several angles and options and no way Josè. That was an off the table subject. Bummer.
Overall, dealing directly with an Anschutz Landman (not a contractor) was great.
I know Anschutz has been VERY aggressive in WY for the last couple of years.
