Am I a 3rd party or a Lessor?

I am a beneficiary of an irrevocable trust containing oil and gas producing property. The lease that the trust company signed contains the following wording:

If requested in writing by Lessor, Lessee shall provide drilling reports, copies of logs, production of all wells, copies of government forms, copies of plugging report, etc. Lessor shall maintain confidentiality of all such information furnished by Lessee and shall communicate no part thereof to 3rd parties without Lessee’s written approval.

The bank that administers the trust signed the lease.

Am I a 3rd party or am I a lessee? I didn’t sign the lease, but it’s my asset. I would like more information, but the “Lessee” refuses to provide it. Am I a 3rd party to my own property or am I a Lessor?

Thank you for your words of wisdom.

The trust officer acted in your behalf as the lessor. You can ask the trust officer to request the data and let you see it as the beneficiary of the trust.
