Activity in Reeves County

I am receiving a good deal of interest in my property in Reeves County. Is there drilling occurring?

Reeves Co. is vast...we need a legal description to assess your land.

Hi Anna - There is a whole lot of drilling in Reeves County right now! If the unsolicited offers for your minerals have increased in number and amount recently, that very likely means you have a new permit for a horizontal well that includes your tract. I can't say without knowing the exact location, but that is a strong indicator.

XThe property is near Orla.

Section 28, Block 57, T-2.

It appears there is Jan 2018 permitted well on this section.

Anna,

Look at the Reeves County Group. Hottest area in the country, especially around Orla.

Thank you! I am new to the forum. So helpful.

thank you. I did!

Hi Anna,

Welcome to The Forum.

There is a whole lot going on where your properties are located. There are more drilling rigs out in West Texas (The Permian Basin) right now than anywhere else in the world, and it will probably be that way for the foreseeable future.

I suggest that you do not sign anything or even verbally accept any offers you receive until you know a whole lot more about your situation than you do right now.

Hope this helps -

Are you in the E/2 of the W/2. That's where we are at. It's a minerals classified interest.

Shale Reality Check has some excellent maps and production graphs

Anna -

Please see the attached. There are presently 8 producing Horizontal Wells in Section 28 with a 9th Well just recently Permitted to be drilled.

If you can tell me what your actual legal description is I can try and determine which of the Wells you are included in.

And the Wells have been producing quite well, so most definitely do not agree to sell anything or they might be using your own money to buy you out.

Hope this helps -

Here you go! I was able to pull up a Lease Details Sheet on your lease and it identified your 160 acres. Yours is the Well that was just Permitted. The name including the word "State" indicates that your lands are probably subject to the Relinquishment Act.
