17-5N-3E. I have recently found I have claim to rights on this land, and would like to speak to anyone with any info. on about this area. Is any one drilling, are rights being bought..ETC.

UDX took a couple leases in the area but basically there is no activity in the SE corner of McClain. I own close by across into Pottawatomie and even the wells they've drilled are dry or lousy, most are doing the shallow Layton. There is always a buyer if there is a seller. Many will say never sell but few will have enough business sense, knowledge or even IQ to be fully capable of making a decision like that and there is no way anyone could make an across the board decision like that either as no 2 situations are the same. I see people buying mineral rights in Florida on ebay, my guess is it's the seller there who is the wiser of the 2, 100 years from now I maybe found incorrect. They are finding oil everywhere now, and with the growing supply we will soon be a wash in oil just like nat gas. I just read this on Yahoo, think oil prices aren't coming down, way down.
NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. oil output is surging so fast that the United States could soon overtake Saudi Arabia as the world's biggest producer.
The Energy Department forecasts that U.S. production of crude and other liquid hydrocarbons, which includes biofuels, will average 11.4 million barrels per day next year. That would be a record for the U.S. and just below Saudi Arabia's output of 11.6 million barrels.
