It seems that the Chevron arrangement with Microsoft in West Texas is a much more viable solution for residents and commerce. Resources for power, water, etc. Needed for Data Centers are private tto the Data Center and their longbtermaffiliated resource provider. The public does not have the burden of cost or depleted natural resorces.

I worked for Comstock and am the Division Order Analsyt that set up most of the wells in Leon and Harrison county. I left in Oct of 2025. Bliss Creek has contacted me for a signature on an approval for seismic 3D imaging in Leon and Freestone counties.
In speaking with the agent it was revealed that Comstock Mitsui and Mitsubishi are all collaborating to spend an absolute fortune to map all the geology underground in the region using the latest tools in an attempt to know how to go forward with production.
The cost this guy was talking about is no joke.
These firms continue to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the region in order to extract natural gas, they are not only drilling to Jurassic sediment, they are now mapping it seismic at 20,000 feet deep.
I hear the negative sentiment here about production. I am still of the opinion that this is a serious matter for serious firms, some of which are multinational corporations.
It might look like nothingās happening, but thereās a lot happening, even as we speak.

I believe you are correct in that it is a different seismic firm. What I speak of is Mitsui in collaboration with Comstock and what I believe is now Mitsubishi.
More leasing activity towards the south east now as well.
Glad to meet you and thanks to offering to help. We are involved in a large family sale of several lots in Alexander Jackson Survey, Leon County. Have had terrible time with Comstock on DO Suspensions only stating Title but no explanation on what the title problems are and little to no assistance in resolving problems. This has severely delayed closing on the sale of the properties and created furious owners. In one case the request was found to have been slowly passed between several different departments to eventually be told it would be a 60 day hold before they looked at it.
I am at the point of filing a complaint with the RRC and any other applicable authority. Any advice would be helpful.

I have been in touch recently with a couple companies that have me chasing my tail. One said that the most recent documents are missing from their archives and another that said they bought my lease from the original company that went bankrupt ( I do have all this paperwork here at home) they are paying the bare minimum and at the same time having companies begging me to buy all my interests using my producing abstract. When I call them they have no real futuristic info. I have many leases but am lost as far as finding deeds. I have used the latest tech advised but Iām tired now. This journey started with trying to make things as easy for my daughter as my grandfather made them for me. Although the courts while I stood there said things were cut and dry Iām finding this is not the case over the years. I just need honest help and input.

Im sorry they are giving you the run around. It is unfortunate but you have to know a lot of the people and who to contact and a lot of the inside history of each one of these operators. That is my experience. I can tell you who is in charge of the specific unit and can review what the suspense is to see what title requirement is holding it up from getting paid and find out what they are doing with it and why the delay.
Good morning, Chris: My husband and I received an estimated tax appraisal for NPRI in what was called the Menn PB well but is now called Leon County Allocation Well operated by Comstock. These are his familyās NPRI, but he has never received any income from that well. He contacted Comstock and was told his query had been passed on to a well analyst for review. That was a month ago. To our knowledge, we are the only ones who received an estimated tax bill. Any assistance you could provide would be helpful in helping to understand this issue.

It is now 3 months after the spud date for the Leon Allocation 38H well. Have you seen any indication that the drilling is wrapping up?
I am guessing that next the rig will be moved south toward Concord to the pad for the Kern wells.
My family has 50% mineral rights (160 NMA) in Leon County, AT Kerr Survey 455, OD Vercher Well #1 Red Oak Field, Sub Clarksville. Operator is Roberts and Hammock with a HBP status of the Original Lease they purchased from Superior Oil in 1961, and a DO or 2 with a depth limitation of 6,000 feet that is not stated in the Lease. From What I understand R&H sub-leased the deep rights to Comstock, stating it is 50%. I have not received any royalty income from HBP well in decades, although I did receive a tiny check from Plains Marketing last year. NOthing shows in Texas Unclaimed funds.
My question is 2 foldā¦ 1 can they sub-let 50% and how do we determine the boundary of that vs out family 50%.
Is it possible that Roberts and Hammock or Comstock have a lease with the owner of the other 50% of the minerals?
- What is your suggestion to follow thru with the unpaid Royalties? I greatly appreciate your willingness to help those of us who do not know where to find resources!
Alan or anyone else who can answer this: I have been tracking drilling activity on a well in Leon County that my family has an interest in (Leon Alloc 38H, API 289-32227). The spud date was 4/10/26. Google AI is saying that drilling was finished on 5/15/26 and the well is now listed as DUC - drilled uncompleted. The lateral length is listed as 8,827ā, which is in the normal range for Comstockās horizontal wells.
My question is whether 35 days (April 10- May 15) to drill the well could possibly be correct or whether Iām getting misinformation from AI. I thought that it has been taking Comstock about 3 months. Your thoughts?
They are getting faster and faster in the drilling depending upon which rig is working and which reservoir. You can watch for the completion on www.fracfocus.org. Use the advanced search option. The time frame to drill and complete includes the time for the frac operation.
They took the rig down over the weekend. It looked like the finished drilling in the last couple of weeks.
