Since the activity in Borden County seems to be picking up I would like some information on spacing. Is there spacing limits on the horizontal wells starting to be drilled by some of the major players like Chesapeake and Westerly and has anyone been approached lately with lease offers?
Just contacted with lease agreement to sign for small acreage at 200 acre 3 yrs and 150 for two years. Interested to see what others offered.
Susan who was the offer made by. If you will read the comments on the wall in the Borden County forum since it began you will see many of the leases that have been offered lately since the activity is heating up. Where is your minerals located in the county. Major players are starting to get involved in the area, Chesapeake has leased at least 30,000 acres in the county, and since they have announced they are cutting back their gas exploration because of prices this may be a prime area because of the old oil in the area and then the new uses of horizontal fracking. If you only have a small area try to get as much royalty % as possible it will pay off in the long run.
