I have small mineral interests in over 100 gas wells in Van Buren, Faulkner, Pope and Conway Counties. My grandfather, and his brother, purchased these mineral rights back in 1929. Is there any drilling still taking place in Arkansas ? About 15-20 years ago I seemed to be getting leasing requests and division orders several times a month. Doesn’t seem to be any interest in the last 10 years ago. I read an old Arkansas newspaper article that attributed the lack of activity to low natural gas prices. That doesn’t seem to be the case now since my royalty checks have increased greatly during the last year.
