My friend’s husband gave me a project, hence the title. His name is Daniel Thomas, not to be confused with the actor. This one says he is a cousin of Robin Williams. He says his grandfather, one Luigi V Thomas, sometimes recorded as Luigi C Thomas, obtained some property in Texas. This property was measured in feet wide and miles long. Dan’s father, Daniel Elvie Thomas, was receiving payments from one or more wells on said property. I’m not sure which one of them named the place May’s Field after May Marshall. And there was a well drilled in 1951 or 52, about the time Dan was born. My first thought was couldn’t the man have made up a place in a smaller state? Then I remembered some of his other strange stories. This old man is a trip! Yes, I found Mayes Field, but it wasn’t named after Ms Marshall. Does anyone know anything about any of his story?
