Needing a hardcopy of a good Texas "landowner" oil and gas lease. We've always used the or a form of the producers 88, and I understand this is geared more toward the oil company or person(s) leasing your property. I hear the TLMA (Texas Land and Mineral Association) has a good one of anyone has that one, folks say it's not copyrighted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have used the TLMA form. It can be obtained from the TLMA members web page. http://www.tlma.org/join.htm
I see that, and I don't mind joining the TLMA, but you have to be a member for 2 years before you can buy the lease.....
Thanks.
Dear Taylor,
How many acres do you own? That might determine the sophistication of the form that would be appropriate. Do you own surface as well?
Lease is 400 acres, we own 200 net mineral acres. We also own the surface.
Thanks.
Taylor,
I paid the required $250 for TLMA membership for the first year to be able to get the lease form without two years membership. Received it via email in a few days and think it was well worth it.
Have a good day!
Thanks.
