Is it normal for the title work to take so long? I have provided a bunch of family info/history to the energy rep and they keep telling me repeatedly that they are working on it. This has been going on 3-4 months. Am I getting the run around?
It can take from 4-6 months. Each section has hundreds of owners and each title has to be searched back to patent. Many companies are running on short staffs due to Covid.
Don’t be surprised if the company requests a probate, even if you did an affidavit of heirship.
