Hi all. We own mineral rights only on 100 + acres in Rapides Parish Louisiana. Had a local energy company contact me for 3D seismic lease. The lease would be for 5 years and only payable if/when they do the shoot. I don’t feel comfortable giving rights to conduct the shoot without payment up front. Is this common? Thanks to all in advance.
