You’re invited to join TLMA for the 2020 Statewide Members Meeting that will be held virtually on Thursday, October 8, 2020 ! This event is open to members and nonmembers. Nonmembers will receive a one-year membership at the Individual level.
The Statewide Members Meeting is a full day event featuring industry experts on current topics for both mineral and surface owners. In addition to presentations on auditing, bankruptcy, water, and solar leasing, we will hold our business meeting and Billy Phenix, the TLMA Government Affairs Consultant, will provide an update on the upcoming legislative session. The day’s agenda is included below.

The Texas Land & Mineral Owners Association was created in 1999 by 54 founding members who wanted to level the playing field, to reinstate a sense of fairness in the relationship between those that use the land and those who live on it. The relationship between the oil and gas industry and landowners had become severely unbalanced as a result of political trends, regulatory and legislative actions, and court decisions. TLMA embarked on a mission to reverse these trends by directly advocating for land and mineral owners’ interests, focusing predominantly on the Texas Legislature.
