Wake Energy offered $3750/net acre on some inherited family land close to Canton Lake. I'm a newbie with this...sorry! The first tract is 60 acres section 18, township 19 north range 13 west. The 2nd is section 20, township 19 north, range 13 west. All in Blaine County.
Can anyone give me some idea if this is a good offer or should we just sit and wait for the barrel price to go up?

The fair value depends on the lease status, permits and/or drilling in the Section, who the offeror is, and, most importantly, the terms of the deal offered. All are related to the geologic potential of your land so learn as much as you can about the potential in order to get a fair price on your terms. Buyers are extremely knowledgeable and sophisticated in there analyses. The offer is most likely not an accident.
