Never hand over a lease without getting paid the same day. Did you sign and return a lease? Operators frequently rush leasing up until the end of the 20 days of a pooling order time frame. Quite normal and totally allowed. If you signed a lease, see if it has been filed using www.okcountyrecords.com. If you only signed the letter, then you have no lease. If you do not see that your lease has been filed, then to be safe, you might want to answer the pooling order with a letter and note that you signed a lease on XX date at YY royalty. Attach a copy. If you don’t have a lease, then most of us would pick the highest royalty option at pooling. Send correspondence by certified mail return receipt and keep a copy of everything.
