Whitaker 1H Well Status

To look this up, go to the Texas Railroad Commission page on production reports:

webapps dot rr dot texas dot gov

/PR/publicQueriesMenuSubmitAction.do

Under “Production by Filing Operator” choose the following:

Lease Type Pending

Operator No. 101155 (for Mitsui, who owns this well)

District 5 (where the well is located in the state)

Prod Month (the month and year you want – reports are due by the end of the next month)

April shows 229,098,000 cubic feet exported from the well. March was 295,141,000.

A typical well in the area should produce about 1,350,000,000 cubic feet per month.

I track Comstock’s production numbers monthly. They’ve had a number of wells so far that have produced more than 1 billion cubic feet in the first full month, but there is typically a pretty sharp decline after that. However, there are exceptions, such as the McCullough Ingram A 1H which averaged a bit over one billion per month for four straight months (August through November 2023). However, March 2026 production was down to 126,074 MCF.

Thanks so much for the information. Seems as if we may be looking at a curve over several years as opposed to initial production. As discussed before there is the idea that the resource could be choked back at this time.

Point of sale with Matsui I would assume was at the gulf so perhaps there’s pipeline capacity issues?

I now see there has been four months production so I eagerly await the division order. I understand it takes four or five months to receive it.

Always looking to learn more thank you for your comments. Anthony.
