Richard, I do not see a Block 231 in Ward County. I performed a quick search of the Ward County records and see where you obtained an interest in Section 213, Block 34. Could that be the interest you are referring to? Lease/purchase rates are impacted by a lot of factors. Your minerals are in a good area. Devon obtained a drilling permit on Section 213 in 2012, but it looks like they didn’t proceed with drilling. I suspect you could easily lease this for a couple thousand per acre. My advice would be to lease before you consider selling. You might want to consider reaching out to one of the forum sponsors that could possibly help you find a company to lease the minerals.
