Great that Verdun is producing these wells again - probably tied to recent increase in gas prices. I have cut and pasted a map from ENVERUS showing all Verdun operated wells in Texas (oil / green and gas / red) plus Verdun permits (yellow icons) over the past 3 years. One can see there permit / drilling focus appears to be in S Tx in the more oil rich area of the trend (Dewitt, McMullen, Live Oak, LaSalle, Dimmit Counties). Some of this more permitting is tied to liquid rich (condensate and NGL) gas wells. Based on this map, the Fayette / Austin Co area does not appear to be high on Verdun’s radar as to new drilling.
