Has anyone recvd. a letter from verdantas in Toledo Ohio that they are coming onto your property whether you want them too or not to inspect your property on the behalf of the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management? if you have, I’d like to hear your perspective and details of your experience.

You might want to check with the Dept of Natural Resources to see if they are legitimate and see what their mandate is. In general, mineral rights are dominant over surface rights, but they do need to be respectful of surface usage.
Be very careful of my thoughts here. Our minerals are in Oklahoma. I was involved with just this situation in Oklahoma some years back. Finally we were paid $200.00 (total for our 26.6 net mineral acres) to “Allow” seismic exploration of the section. Mrs. Barnes would know way more about this, but when I resisted, the company came up with $200.00. That was better then no payment, and as I did research, at least in Oklahoma, the company has the right to come onto surface acres but pay for any damage. We’re also not allowed to put phone or email info on these threads so my advice is for you to post a thread yourself with everything you’re comfortable sharing and I’ll do my best to answer anything I can. When I started out, info for my area of Ohio was scarce so I’ll do all I can to help you cause it sounds like our property is very close to each other.
