Has anyone dealt with Vector Engery when selling their mineral rights? They made me an offer that is much higher than previous companies. I am in the JB Therrill Survey A 880.
A new 15 acre pipe yard has began construction just East of Oakwood and between Sanderson Farms next to the Railroad track. There are 3 large pipelines on a right of way almost next to it.
Welcome!
I have an old, held by production, lease in Leon County, and have had offers ranging from $30,000 to $200,000. By searching the deed records, I know that Comstock has acquired my lease. They are building pipelines and have drilling plans. I suggest you read the Leon County section of this forum to educate yourself. These offers are coming from educated, sophisticated buyers, and are lower than what you will eventually receive from a producer. There is nothing they can do to increase the value of your minerals except buy low.
I have not dealt with them personally, but I do see them in the courts filing almost weekly. They seem to be the front runners of mineral buying in Leon, Robertson, and Freestone Counties.
I received a template offer from them recently of up to $10,000/acre which is higher than offers I usually get.
We received information and a buyout from Vector as well. It close to $300,000. Does anyone know anything about William F. Gray Survey, A-296 in Leon County, Texas?
I have not as of yet. I’m looking for some competing offers right now, so I’ll check them out.
What Unit are you in and what is the decimal on your check?
One thing to think about when selling your minerals. If they are offering large amounts of money they know they will make more from them and you could miss out on it. No company is going to lose 300,000 and stay in business buying minerals rights.
That’s not always the case. Speculation is a large part of mineral buying. Sometimes you bet big to win big, but this isn’t a no-risk business.
