I read it differently, but I think she probably learned something here in the way of options. I believe that she could have accepted the second companies offer because she was not paid for the first lease. However, I don't know what the first company told her about consideration. Once she got the Fed Ex package, everything became moot. Consideration, Race, Race-Notice, et al. It washed everything clean. The first company had not paid her, they told her they no longer had a signed lease. Now she can do whatever. She should at least follow some of the advice that was offered here.
