If you look at the depth and the formations on the reports, it clearly shows that the low producing wells went deep and did not frack. The two wells producing well were in the Wolfcamp formations. Looks like to me the others were wells drilled to get information and could only produce from the deepest formation. Exploratory wells. Just my opinion. But a lot of that going on in the hot areas of the Permian Basin. Then the big companies come in and re-enter and go horizontal. Independent companies sell the information and finance the drilling. Pardon my typing skills.
Hi Ralph. Thanks for the information. Does that mean that the less than stellar results in some areas of Terry County over the past two years may just indicate that those were exploratory wells and that there may be some new activity in the northeast and southeast areas of the county? I’m thinking of the Redheaded Stranger that they drilled but there is no completion report filed.

Robert By no means am I an authority. It is just my observation that here in Lynn County all they drill for is the Fusselman. Raw is the only company that has drilled and with all the other formations why not target them unless you’re drilling for someone else and Raw gets the pay in the Fusselman if it hits. Have some interest in Ward Reeves Loving. And I look at the RRC website and those areas are full of dry holes and plugged wells and they are drilling like crazy. What our area lacks is infrastructure. But just my thinking that the things like Halliburton coming to Brownfield, frack sand being stored in Lubbock, desert tanks manufacturing in Lubbock, hotels being built. I think things will eventually happen in the northern part of the Midland Basin. Callon drilling now in Lynn County with more planned. Like I said I am not an expert just my observations, and I’m holding out hope that they start drilling a lot in the future.
