Didn’t know about that Doodlebug. I think it’s just starting to take off in Terry County actually. Think if people just give it time.
Here one to watch ap1 44532362 9 miles north Brownfield rig running I just left this site you can see the rig 30 miles from Lubbock 4 in the morning Hockley and Terry in the Cy Jack Trail Mountain. Good morning Terry County.
9 miles north of Brownfield…LOL…guess they haven’t read that Raw Oil and Gas drilled a well about 11 miles north of Brownfield and got 5 barrels per day of production, and that the results from the Red Headed Strangler are so dismal that the site has been abandoned. Oh well…it’s a free country…
Not only one 9 miles, there is another rig to west running and a rumor of one next to the east.
Robert, how many barrels per day did the Red Heads start out at? Have they plugged it? No, not by my info. Abandoned would be plugged, completed, and gone. I don’t believe until RRC posts plugged or dry hole. Even then they may be a new drill.
Hi dubose. I have only heard rumors about the Red Headed Stranger, and the rumors were that once the frack had been completed and the initial test run was done, there was not even enough oil to post a report. So they took down the Christmas tree and are counting their losses. The RR commish allows them up to 12 to 18 months of added time to post results after completion. If the results had been good, you would have seen it in the 3rd or 4th quarter report of the drilling company.
Or is there a way I can see on TRRC when those were drilled?
Thanks Paige, I was trying to get the well info on them but I guess RRC is having issues. Won’t pull that info from server, will try later. Yes, I am always optimistic about it nowadays.
David, I’m no expert, but we had a vertical dry hole in 2008 on one of our farms, and we leased it anew in 2012. This operator plans to drill to a deeper formation than the 2008 well, then go horizontal — new technology makes a world of difference.
Dubose, they need to move down south and east just about 1 to 2 miles east of Wellman and drill lol.
So a question: if there are dry holes on my lease depending on when they were drilled, what is the chance they would come back in and frack those, anybody?
There is a video on the Home page of this website that shows how to search the RRC website.
David, depending on when the old holes were drilled the online info may not be able to pull the info up. I lived next to your lease back in the day when the first wells were drilled on your lease. It would be great to see new wells there again. Texland has some good wells not far from there.
No one has been in that trailer for the past two weeks. No piping onsite. Only thing there is the trailer and a couple of liquid trailers that are not in use. Site looks abandoned. Very disappointing to say the least.
rhh did you talk to the flow back people who would have been in the trailer if they were there they used to talk to me when I could catch them.
Dubose I found the info or rcc this weekend yea those where drilled back in 80 and yea there are a lot of wells just south of me. Yes it would be nice to see it get activite there I would like to see the whole county get active.

David what block are you in? I’m in Block O, Lynn County. The Welch field is just south of my place. There’s a few pumpjacks in the Welch field.
